Relevance of the chosen research topic. In modern conditions, Russian construction companies face a number of specific problems associated with a lack of modern equipment, low availability of credit resources, difficulties in obtaining permits and a shortage of qualified personnel. However, the Russian construction complex has significant growth potential due to large-scale housing construction, development of transport infrastructure and implementation of state programs for the modernization of housing and communal services. Compared to Western countries, Russian companies are less integrated globally, but are actively developing and adapting to new market conditions, mastering new technologies and expanding the geography of their activities. The purpose of the article is to study the components and structure of the construction market of the Russian Federation and foreign countries. The research methodology is based on the application of empirical research methods (comparison, analysis), as well as theoretical research (systematization, generalization, analogy, synthesis). The results of the study include a deep systematization of information on the components and structure of the construction market of the Russian Federation and abroad. The construction market is a complex system of interconnected participants that ensures the construction of real estate for various purposes. This study considers the composition and structure of the construction market of the Russian Federation and foreign countries separately. The foreign market is highly integrated and mature. The market structure is similar to the Russian market, but there are significant differences in the degree of development of individual elements. Conclusions. The Russian market has a pronounced state component and high concentration of ownership, while foreign markets are characterized by freedom of competition and a variety of forms of participation. The level of technological progress in Russian companies is lower, which is due to insufficient investment in modernization and low motivation of small businesses. There is a significant contribution of international companies and a wide range of financial instruments supporting investments in construction abroad. These factors determine the difference in approaches to project management, construction quality and prospects for further development of the construction complex.
