The paper exemines the process of fine purification of gas from organosulfur compounds. The research demonstrates the possibility of introducing copper into the composition of a zinc absorber for importation the catalytic properties. The physicochemical and performance properties of obtained catalytic chemisorbents were studied. The specific surface area, porosity, and strength of the synthesized samples were measured. According to X‑ray phase analysis, there is no effect of copper and copper oxide additives on the textural properties of the chemisorbent. The activity of the catalytic chemisorbents was evaluated by thiophene hydrogenation. The highest conversion was at the introduction of metallic copper additive into the zinc absorber composition.
