This article represents the beginning of a critical review of the proceedings of a conference held at YSTU in December 2025. In these proceedings, the author seeks to identify a number of provisions worthy of attention and consideration in the context of the further development of the concept of theoretical economics as a new paradigmatic mainstream in socioeconomic research, which we have been pursuing in our journal for over a decade and a half. This article is devoted to characterizing the main content of such provisions in conference papers as an important tool, in the author’s view, for understanding theoretical economics. Particular attention is paid to the theoretical and practical aspects of the digitalization of the Russian economy, discussed in the conference participants’ papers. The methodology of this work is naturally based on our proposed concept of theoretical economics. The scientific novelty of this work lies in identifying the contribution of the conference materials to the development of this concept.
