IMPACT OF THERMO-OXIDATIVE TREATMENT AND HEATING ON CARBONISATION YIELD IN ELECTRODE-GRADE COAL PITCHES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The paper presents the results of the impact of thermal treatment of electrode pitch category B (JSC Evraz ZSMK, Russia) on the carbonisation yield. The effect of additives from thermo-oxidation products of electrode pitch category C (JSC Altai-Koks, Russia) on the carbonisation yield of electrode pitch category B has been established. The dependencies of the carbonisation yield on the heating temperature of electrode pitch category B were determined. The introduction of additives in the form of high-temperature and high-melting pitch into electrode pitch category B reduces the volatile matter yield and increases the carbonisation yield.
