The theoretical foundations of social solidarity are a complex system of interrelated concepts that reflect various aspects of this fundamental social phenomenon. Each theory contributes to the understanding of the nature of solidarity, its functions and mechanisms of formation in modern society. It would be a mistake to consider this concept as abstract. It is a real mechanism of functioning of all types of social relations. forms of manifestation of mechanisms, an imbalance of group interests arises. Today, philosophical reflection focuses on the search for a model of development that would combine individual autonomy and collective solidarity. The question of the balance between individual freedom and collective responsibility, which is directly related to the development of social solidarity, is of particular relevance. The theoretical substantiation of the meaning of social solidarity is insufficient to substantiate the research problem. The current state of the theory of social solidarity reflects its ability to adapt to significant changes in society, being a necessary condition for its sustainable development. Today, the issues of social solidarity bring to the fore the coordination of the interests, values and potentials of all participants in social relations. It is possible to fix the correlation between the state of social solidarity in the public consciousness and the nature of social and labor relations in labor collectives only empirically, which is the purpose of this article. The presented results allow us to assess the state of social solidarity in labor collectives by such indicators as: collective identity, quality of social ties, level of mutual assistance. The effectiveness of the labor collective is determined by a set of interrelated characteristics: organizational structure, socio-psychological climate, professional competence and innovative activity, while the key factor is the ability of the team to self-organize and adapt to changing environmental conditions. And this, in turn, depends on the level of social solidarity of the labor collective.
