Value chains are one of the key research areas in the development of the modern global economy. This article examines the key aspects of managing value chains amid contemporary global challenges, including digitalization, geopolitical instability, and the growing role of sustainable development. Today, value chains are transforming from linear models into complex network structures spanning multiple countries and participants. Special attention is paid to the impact of digital technologies (artificial intelligence, blockchain, the Internet of Things, big data, etc.) on enhancing the flexibility and resilience of value chains, as well as the need to balance economic efficiency with environmental responsibility. The methodological framework is based on SWOT analysis, which helps assess the strengths and weaknesses of value chains while identifying external opportunities and threats. The article highlights key management strategies: active development, risk mitigation, overcoming weaknesses through opportunities, and minimizing threats. Using industrial manufacturing as an example, it demonstrates how economic actors can adapt to changes through supplier diversification, digitalization, and government support programs.In an era of global turbulence, successful value chain management requires a comprehensive approach that combines flexibility, technological integration, and sustainable practices. The practical significance of the study lies in developing recommendations for enhancing value chain resilience, including the adoption of innovative technologies, the creation of adaptive risk management systems, and the development of strategic partnerships. The presented findings pave the way for further research into a more detailed examination of value chains in the context of economic actors’ integration efforts.
